Thanks
to all who turned up to the Q&A session. A very positive
response. The main outcome was for all those who will be coming
along to let me know within the next couple of weeks when they would
be willing to confirm their bookings. Only then will we
know when we can commit to booking and reserving the swimming pool
lanes.

All Club Members,
It
seems that the deadline date of 26th Aug for people to commit to the
Oct 2006 training camp has focused your attention. In an attempt to
try and explain the reasoning behind the early booking and to also
share with you all the focus and intent of the training camp I will
be hosting a half-hour Q&A session on Wednesday 24th August at
6:30pm in the Community Centre.

All Club Members,
First
of all, thank-you all for the very positive response I got to the
initial survey. Based on that response I am now in a position to
move to the next stage which is to get a firm commitment from all
those who want to go. I know Oct 2006 is a long way off but you must
act quickly if this trip is going to happen.
I
have provisionally reserved lanes in the 50m outdoor (heated)
swimming pool for 2 x 2 hours sessions each day for the week
commencing Thursday 19th October 2006. However, Club La Santa is
very popular and is already filling up very quickly and we have to
book apartments at the same time as booking the pool lanes if we are
to be guaranteed pool time.
To
make the booking I will need £100 deposit per person. The deposit
is non refundable however, up until approx 10 weeks before, bookings
are transferable. Unfortunately, at this time, I am not able to give
you a final cost on flights. Nor am I able to say by how much (if
any) we will be able to subsidise the trip through fund-raising.
I
also need you all to decide what apartment(s) you want and who will
be sharing apartments. Therefore, if you haven't already done so,
please download a copy of the Club La Santa brochure/price list
(available on the club website) and decide which apartment type you
require.
Please
return attached booking form and deposits to Phil Robbins no later
than Friday 26th August 2005 (earlier if at all possible).

very positive response with October 2006 being the clearly preferred
date and Club La Santa the preferred venue.
